SUBSCRIBER PERSONAL USE LICENSE

This Subscriber Personal Use License (“License”) governs the use of images made available through the paid subscription tier of Neighborhood Stills (“Publication”).

By maintaining an active paid subscription to the Publication, you (“Subscriber”) receive a limited license under the terms below.

1. Ownership

All images published in Neighborhood Stills remain the exclusive intellectual property of Alexandru Boia - Neighborhood Stills (“Licensor”).

No ownership, copyright, or other intellectual property rights are transferred to the Subscriber.

2. Licensed Images

For the purpose of this License, “Licensed Images” means all images first made available to paid subscribers in the Publication on or before the Subscriber’s Paid-Through Date.

“Paid-Through Date” means the last calendar date covered by the Subscriber’s most recent paid subscription period.

3. Grant of License

Subject to full payment of the subscription fee and continued compliance with this License, the Licensor grants the Subscriber a non-exclusive, worldwide, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the Licensed Images for personal and non-commercial purposes only.

This license is granted to the paid subscriber associated with the email address used for the relevant paid subscription. Where the subscriber has provided a name for licensing purposes, that name shall be deemed the subscriber name under this license.

4. Permitted Uses

The Subscriber may:

a. download, store, and display the Licensed Images on personal devices;

b. print the Licensed Images for personal display;

c. post the Licensed Images on personal, non-commercial social media accounts;

d. use the Licensed Images on a personal website or personal blog, provided such use is non-commercial and includes attribution as set out below;

e. include the Licensed Images in personal, non-commercial newsletters, posts, or essays.

5. Attribution

Where reasonably practicable, the Subscriber must include the following credit:

6. Prohibited Uses

The Subscriber may not:

a. use any Licensed Image for commercial purposes;

b. use any Licensed Image in connection with a business, brand, product, paid service, client work, sponsorship, advertising, or promotion;

c. sell, sublicense, redistribute, gift, or transfer any Licensed Image to any third party;

d. upload any Licensed Image to stock libraries, marketplaces, templates, themes, or asset repositories;

e. use any Licensed Image on print-on-demand products, merchandise, packaging, or physical goods for sale;

f. use any Licensed Image as a logo, trademark, service mark, or brand identifier;

g. remove any copyright notice, credit line, or metadata where present;

h. use any Licensed Image for AI training, dataset creation, model fine-tuning, or similar machine-learning purposes;

i. use any Licensed Image in unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, pornographic, hateful, or otherwise harmful contexts.

7. Personal Blog Clarification

For the purpose of this License, a “personal website” or “personal blog” means a website or blog operated in the Subscriber’s own name or pseudonym, primarily for personal publishing and not primarily for commercial advantage or monetary compensation.

A personal blog may contain incidental, non-primary monetization such as basic display ads, provided the Licensed Image is not used to promote products, services, sponsored content, affiliate offers, or any commercial brand activity.

8. Term

This License begins when the Subscriber becomes a paid subscriber and continues for as long as the subscription remains active.

However, for Licensed Images first made available on or before the Subscriber’s Paid-Through Date, the license granted under this License shall remain in effect on a perpetual basis, unless terminated earlier under Section 9.

For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation or expiration of the subscription does not revoke the Subscriber’s license for Licensed Images already covered by the Paid-Through Date.

9. Termination

This License terminates automatically if the Subscriber breaches any of its terms.

Upon termination, the Subscriber must stop using the affected Licensed Images and, upon request, remove them from public-facing use.

10. Reservation of Rights

All rights not expressly granted under this License are reserved by the Licensor.

11. Governing Law

This License shall be governed by the laws of ROMANIA / EUROPEAN UNION, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
