Hanging Out 01
A pair of pigeons takes possession of a terrace with the calm assurance of regular customers who feel no need to order. A sparrow settles lightly on the back of a chair, as if dropping in for a brief inspection before deciding it has no intention of moving on.
Last but not least, high above the street, a stork stands in its nest among cables and poles, less perched than installed, with the whole arrangement obviously having been prepared with its arrival in mind.
None of these creatures appears disturbed by the human setting around them. They use it, pause in it, adapt it to their own purposes, and remain entirely at ease. What we call urban space is, for them, simply available territory: somewhere to rest, watch, feed, wait, or carry on with the day.
